Origin of this thought : Pyar ka Punchnama 2

It’s tough for me to be too girly – wearing pink outfits, carrying pink bags, pink polish or even knowing too many shades of pink at once. So, when I went for this movie with a friend 3weeks back & the scene explaining the differentiation between all pinks come up, she looked at me and said “Tujhe toh pata hi hoga yeh sab” [Translation : You must be knowing all these shades] Hahaha.. [If you haven’t watched the scene yet, YOUTUBE IT NOW]

Ok, seriously, I don’t really keep a track of shades like Old rose, Magenta, Salmon, Hot pink, etc. Even I learnt it from the movie.

I usually work on the basis of intuition. I wear what I like, when I see it on me ‘cos shades differ for everybody.. For instance, Hot pink and fuschia, which differs on the basis of hints of blue. The only issue with me is OCD. I find it really difficult to be messy – things need to be parallel and properly aligned. I’m sure a lot of you can relate to this. The reason I’m commonly misjudged 😀

Coming to the outfit, I wore a pouf dress which has a grunge look to the florals going on, with a peach shirt on it, unbuttoned. This kind of a look works really well in Chennai ‘cos “WINTER” doesn’t exist here and our trench coats are lying in some corner of our suitcases up in the attic. Plus, they are currently trending – A LOT. I chose a pastel shade to soften the outfit. My most favorite part of this shirt is the studded peter pan collar. And, when fully buttoned, the pleats in the mid-back fall very delicately.

To the accessories – Simple it was! I wore a pair of these really cute peach flower earrings with a twisted ring and a Strawberry Rancher bracelet that I totally loveeeee. On a general basis, I would opt for shoes with this outfit if I’m running errands or doing brunch/lunch. Here, I wore a pair of grey pumps whose heel had the look of a mirror. Why the hell not?? I’m not a heel kinda girl but if I wore one with such an outfit, it would be for dinner ONLY.

  1. As suffocating as it may sound, try buttoning up your shirt fully and see the level of smartness that it adds to your look. Once you are comfortable with that, add a chunky neckpiece to add the glam!
  1. Pink & Grey go really well together. Yes, it sounds a bit odd! But give it a shot and see for yourself!
